CONGRESS THEME PRESENTATION FORMAT
Plenary Lectures:
World renowned scientists, policy makers and administrators will be invited to
deliver special lectures on the topics related to food production and policy, farming systems research,
climate change, conservation agriculture, energy, environment, biotechnology, input use efficiency etc.
They would present overview of the various symposia of the congress. Speakers will be requested to
provide 3-4 pages write-up of their talk along with brief biodata for inclusion in the Pre-Congress
Proceedings. Plenary lectures will be 40-50 minutes duration. Full length papers will be published in
the Post-Congress Proceedings or Indian Journal of Agronomy.
Invited Lead Lectures:
These would offer an insight into the various Congress symposia. Technical
Committees constituted for each symposium will identify 5-6 speakers. A Lecture of each speaker will
be of 15-20 minutes followed by discussion. Lead speakers of the symposium will be requested to
provide 3-4 pages extended summaries of their talk and brief biodata for inclusion in the Pre-Congress
Proceedings. Full length papers will be published in Indian Journal of Agronomy.
Contributory papers:
This would provide an opportunity for oral presentation of research papers
received/submitted for poster presentation. Limited number of papers will be selected by the
committee for presentation based on importance of subject matter and its relevance to the sub-themes
of the Congress and speakers will be informed well in advance for making the presentation. The
presentation will be for 5-7 minutes.
Poster Presentations :
All the delegates will get an opportunity to present their contributory research
papers through poster presentation. Poster presentation will be arranged symposium-wise. This
would provide an opportunity to the participants to present their work in a more informal manner with
personalized interaction with other participants. Material for fixing the posters will be provided by the
organizers. Guidelines for poster preparation are given separately in the circular.
Exhibition, Advertisement and Sponsor presentations:
Limited sponsor presentations will be
arranged to provide an opportunity to sponsors to share their views and experiences with the delegates.
Extended Summary:
Delegates will submit extended summary of their research paper before the last
date for receipt of extended summary. These extended summaries will be scrutinized and published in
Pre-Congress Proceedings. Guidelines for preparation of extended summary are given separately in
the circular. Delegates are requested to adhere to guidelines while preparing the extended summary.
Extended summary not prepared according to guidelines will not be accepted for publication.
Special Publication:
Organizers are making efforts to bring special publications on the occasion of
congress to give comprehensive coverage to the theme of the Congress.
